Work Environment

The Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation Center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that foster an environment of collaboration and patient-centered care. The center operates Monday through Friday, providing a standard 40-hour workweek that supports a balanced lifestyle for our employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine their treatment needs.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment programs that align with the physician's plan of care and meet patient goals.
• Treat a diverse array of specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients, ensuring comprehensive and personalized care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to maximize client outcomes, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for holistic treatment approaches.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, therapeutic exercises, and recovery strategies to foster engagement in their healing process.
• Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Meet minimum productivity goals while adhering to organizational standards and maintaining high levels of customer service.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse patient demographic, ranging from young athletes to elderly individuals recovering from surgeries or chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Earned Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the State of Florida.
• Graduate from a program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-approved program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in word processing and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required for this position, preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in outpatient therapy settings, especially within rehabilitation centers. Familiarity with a variety of treatment modalities and the ability to adapt to evolving patient needs will be highly valued.
