Our Service and Logistics Team in Corpus Christi is seeking an In-Shop Level 2 Service Technician who is dedicated to maintaining existing devices and setting up new office equipment, to include copiers, printers, whiteboards, and scanners. Experience with Ricoh, Canon, HP, and Brother is preferred. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver legendary customer service.

What You'll do:  

• Prepare and configure new, demo, and advanced equipment, including firmware updates, testing, and quality assurance checks.
• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish copiers, printers, scanners, whiteboards, and other office equipment.
• Perform in-shop service repairs and component rebuilds, including drum units, fuser units, and other repairable assemblies.
• Set up and support advanced devices, including wide-format printers, production equipment, Canon products, Fiery controllers, thermal scan units, and scanners.
• Manage equipment staging, loaner fleet readiness, parts utilization, and warehouse organization.
• Execute hard drive data security processes, including data cleansing, drive removal, and disposal procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized staging and work areas to support operational efficiency.
• Assist field service technicians as needed, including delivering equipment, and contribute to a culture of outstanding customer service.

Job Overview

Demonstrates technical expertise -

• Performs a full range of service diagnostics and repair. Procedures include diagnostics, installation, removal, and retrofits on assigned equipment.
• Performs Basic Connected installations, sets up IP addresses, downloads printer drivers and provides customer training on printing functions.
• Demonstrates required digital competencies associated with assigned products and level assignment.
• Completes technical training on new equipment as assigned.

Customer Service -

• Interacts with internal customers for the purpose of determining service needs on equipment and ensuring overall high level of customer satisfaction with the service performed.
• Provides technical assistance to less experienced technicians.
• Exhibits professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Maintains productive, professional relationships with all company personnel.
• Is a positive and contributing team member.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires journeyman level technical knowledge typically gained through completion of technical school and 2+ years of related experience.
