Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assessing and evaluating patients referred by physicians to create personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs.
• Administering therapeutic techniques and modalities to improve patients' physical function and mobility.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Educating patients and their caregivers about treatment protocols and self-management strategies to support recovery.
• Maintaining thorough documentation of patient progress and conforming to regulatory policies.
• Participating in community outreach programs to promote physical wellness and the importance of physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population, including:

• Orthopedic patients recovering from surgery or injury
• Pediatric patients needing rehabilitative care
• Individuals suffering from neurological disorders
• Athletes in need of sports medicine rehabilitation

This variety will enable you to enhance your skills across multiple specialties in physical therapy.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective patient engagement and consultations.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy is required, preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience in outpatient care settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) management systems.
• A track record of working collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes:
